My work experience involved a number of interesting activities and insightful talks from members of the EY team. There were a number of opportunities to ask any questions we may have thought of during the talks and we all answered with lots of knowledgable answers.
In my work experience I developed many skills including presentation writing, how to get over imposter syndrome and realise your self worth as well as a huge insight to what it would be like to be an apprentice at EY.
I really enjoyed my work experience! I think the structure of the course over the three days was really planned out and well executed despite the fact of it having to unfortunately be carried out online due to Covid-19.
The work experience was very well organised, everyone knew which link they should be on to join the correct virtual talk and when with little if any problems. Considering this is the first online business academy everything ran very smoothly.
I think that was a very big factor during the few days I spent on this work experience and I now know the reasons why everyone at EY enjoys themselves so much and would highly recommend a job with this company. It seems like such a friendly and welcoming environment to work in.
My work experience has definitely help me clarify that this is exactly what I want to do. I know exactly which service line I want to hopefully be a part of.
Yes, I received an hourly wage for my work experience although I think everyone would still take part without it.
Yes there were many people from different jobs in EY who came on and spoke to us and also said that if we have any further questions we can contact them through LinkedIn which is very helpful and kind of them.
Yes
Everyone seems so friendly and welcoming, nothing ever seems to be a problem with them. It seems like a career with EY will be extremely rewarding with great personal development.
Just be yourself! I was super nervous for my business academy but soon realised there is nothing to be nervous about and everyone is in the same boat. You will get a lot more out of the programme if you really engage yourself and ask lots of questions. There is no such thing as a silly question!
