Maintaining cleanliness of the salon to professional standards, carrying out treatments both ones I am currently being assessed for and previously learned treatments, reception work.
Yes I have learned how to carry out a variety of treatments to a professional standard such as hot stone therapy massage, body massage, Indian head massage and pre blended oils.
I have enjoyed my level 3 apprenticeship as I’ve learned new skills that are transferable to use in salon work place
The programme itself is very well structured however in college as we’ve had to carry out remote learning due to COVID it has not been that structured
I receive a lot of support from my employer she answers any questions I have and makes me feel comfortable in the workplace
Before lockdown we received training every week and was a good structure and helped me learn everything required for assessments and exams
By doing an apprenticeship I feel like I am now salon ready as I have already been working competently in the salon and independently
