I work as part of the Apprenticeship Team, supporting the attraction and recruitment of apprentices within the organisation.
I've learnt more about project management, leadership, managing budgets and risk and have better developed my communication skills.
The programme has been really enjoyable. It's been great to learn some new skills and taking on the apprenticeship has really challenged by time management and ability to prioritise my workload.
It's really well structured. At the start of the programme I was given a clear overview of all of the sessions I would need to attend through the duration of the programme.
I have frequent 1-2-1s with my manager to discuss my progress and how I can put my new learning into practice within the workplace.
I meet with my training provider frequently throughout the programme. They help me to set objectives and tasks to work towards in between our catch up sessions which makes the workload far easier to manage.
It's definitely helped me boost my confidence and my ability to prioritise my workload.
Within my role I get a lot of opportunity to attend professional networking events. We adopt a hybrid working model so I work 4 days per week at home and one either in the office, or at a coffee shop with colleagues.
