1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

It was a three day introduction to Mace and the construction industry. We spoke to professionals from all stages of their careers and participated in group workshops. On the final day we got a virtual tour of a live Mace construction project.

I bettered my communication and presenting skills in the small group sessions.

3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Due to Covid-19 it was Mace’s first virtual event for students but despite this, it was engaging, informative, fun and it ran smoothly.

4. How well organised/structured is your programme?

Very well structured, we were given an itinerary for the program in advance. It was held via zoom so there were a few minor technical hiccups but overall it was well planned with plenty of breaks.

Great support and I was provided and opportunity for further personal feedback after I completed the insight week.

Yes

9b. Why?

The three days that I spent with Mace opened a new world of endless career opportunities that were previously hidden to me. Mace are at the forefront of technological change in the construction industry and dedicate a lot of time effort and resources on conquering discrimination in the workplace.

Research the role that you are applying for and make sure that your answers to questions reflect the qualities suitable for that role.
