I am a manufacturing apprentice, my daily routine involves shadowing one of the experienced Lead process Technicians and gaining knowledge from them about the different processes on site. We also have the opportunity to get involved in various projects on site.
I have learnt some basic engineering skills through my apprenticeship, and also a more in depth knowledge of chemical processes.
I really enjoy all aspects of the program as it allows me to learn by seeing a wide area of processes and experiencing different departments and what they do.
I feel very valued as there is competitive salary along with other benefits like shares and bonuses. We ar very involved across the whole site in various projects and our manager does a good job of getting opportunities for our self progression.
Very good, we always know where we will be going and have a rota set out at the start of the year giving us an overview of what we will be doing.
Our training provider GEN2 gives good support for our training.
We recieve a lot of support from our employer and it really helps with our progression in our job roles.
Very well, we are paid at a very competitive rate.
There aren't a lot of opportunities but there are some like STEM activities and a sports club.
Yes
Because it is an employer who takes care of those who work for it and also gives a great amount of support too.
To research the plant you are applying to and also a history of the company, on the assessment day make sure you look busy in the group task and help out.
