Helping out the teacher prepare, getting the students ready for the day and helping them with their work and to learn. Learning different things about how to deal with children with special needs and how to care for them. Making sure that the children are educated and looked after to make sure they feel safe and having fun.
I have learnt through the coursework different things to do with special needs and have also learnt how children develop and about different disabilities in order to help with the practical side of the work. Through coursework I’ve learnt a lot and also by doing the job hands on I’ve learnt a lot also for example being professional.
I really enjoy this programme as I have learnt so much and have made new friends. I feel supported and I am well informed of what I’m doing. The coursework gets reviewed each month and you can always check in whenever you want and there’s always someone there to support you. So very helpful.
Programme is very structured I know what I’m doing and we have clear set pay and set dates of what is happening and when.
I receive a lot of support from my employer as they always answer as soon as and are always helpful whenever in need and always checking in to make sure I’m okay. This makes the programme a lot better as whenever there is a worry or concern I feel great knowing that I can get it sorted straight away.
I receive a lot of support. My tutor always explains everything and checks in on how I’m doing and also with any questions I have they always get answered as soon as possible. each month there is a review of the coursework which really helps towards the following piece of coursework letting us know the positives and negatives on how to improve.
I feel like it helps a lot because without the background knowledge that I’m learning along side the job I wouldn’t know half the stuff that I do. By doing the coursework I’m learning things such as safeguarding and child development which helps with everyday work life.
I think so I’m not too sure but even if there is or isn’t the coursework and the job itself Is enough for me I really enjoy that. There is initial activities for the group to meet eachother and work on team work but because of Covid this couldn’t happen but we met online and did zoom calls which let us meet eachother which was really nice as we got to speak to people that was doing the same thing as us
Yes
I have really enjoyed my apprenticeship and have made some really great friends and am also working towards a great qualification. I’m really glad I joined. I would definitely recommend.
I would say to keep up with the coursework and use your time wisely as time flies don’t leave it to the last minute. Make the most of the time as you do learn a lot.
