Auditing companies financial statements, this involves using different testing techniques to test the financial statements to ensure that they provide a true and fair view of the company. I have developed further my analytical skills as the job involves being able to look at large and complicated data and be able to understand what it shows. Additionally have developed a much greater business acumen and understanding of how the financial world operates.
Greatly enjoy my programme as not only am I get paid work experience with a top company being able to learn many skills, but you also get to experience and enjoy the life of being a University student.
Very well structured as during the course we sit 12/15 ICAEW exams which we are given strong teaching for and have plenty of time to revise for while we are not working. Not only that but by having the placements only last a term it means you still get plenty of time at university.
You receive a lot of support, at the start you are set up with a career coach who is your go to contact throughout your placement and helps with any worries or concerns that you may have. Not only that but the company takes a great interest and offers support for mental health given free subscription to headspace.
Lots of support is given and there are a number of sessions we have with the trainer to ensure we are exam ready
It provides me with the knowledge and skills to implement in my job, and I feel confident from the training that I will be prepared to work in the environment from the training they have given me
I believe there is but I don't have much knowledge on this, I know that we have a lot of social events as teams and have a social group but not much has happened due to covid
