My role is the be part of an engagement team which helps to provide a true and fair view of the company in order to carry out legitimate audits. I work in excel spreadsheets and EGA documents on a day to day, reconciling and tieing information provided by the client with the evidence we have gathered.
My excel skills have really developed over my placement, tidying up documents and using formulas with much more ease. for example, the IF formula and colour contrasting. I also developed my knowledge of the FSLI's in a much greater depth, focuisng on accruals and prepayments for alot of the time.
I enjoy my programme most of the time, but it do struggle working from a home as i thrive from the social aspect at work. And being around people will help to keep me motivated and focused. i find the work very interesting, however sometimes some of the work that doesn't take very much application i find a little less enjoyable.
Very well structured. We had a 2 week training prepping us for our placement, we get emails in advance of any changes that we need to be aware of. On Top of that we are given career coaches and buddys to help us throughout the placement.
A good amount of support. I was struggling during the first month of my placements and arose this issue and it was dealt with within the week and i was offered further support if I wanted it.
A significant amount as we go to university part time as well as on our placement, so we get the support from our university tutors on how to approach the exams and revise for them.
As we train we gain further understanding on the principles and rules behind the way we work. Allowing us to perform better as we know the fundamentals more.
As it is COVID and working from home no. But had i been in the office i would of joined the 7 a side league and gone for staff drinks on thursday evening.
