A role in audit involves inspecting the financial information provided by the client to ensure it is accurate and complete. This involves a range of testing such as inspection, observation and reperformance.
Throughout placement I have learnt a range of new skills allowing me to develop personally and professionally. This includes working under pressure, time management and client communication.
I enjoy working at PwC particularly due to the challenges and opportunities allowing me to stretch myself.
The programme is very well structured by both PwC and the university, allowing for a smooth transition between exams and work.
PwC offer many lines of support including your personal career coach, buddies, flying start champions at each office and managers. There is always someone to go to for support and advice!
You receive a significant amount of support from your university with access to all services even whilst on placement. You can also seek confidential support and advice from ICAEW for any work related issues.
Studying for exams helps you learn the technicals of accounting which is very useful in the workplace.
PwC offer many social activities and networking events throughout the year, helping you meet new people and build long lasting connections. Examples include the annual christmas party and new joiners events.
