My role at Iceland is to keep the shop running smoothly and keep the staff and customers happy, by ensuring all products are available for sale and displayed in the correct manner making sure the shop is tidy, making sure clutter is removed, also selling the customers products and dealing with any Of there questions they may have during there shopping trip, it’s important to help any customers who also may have any special issues.
Yes, I feel like I have got new skills. I’m more confident in dealing with people and teams and pressure situations. My communication skills are slowly getting better, my feedback skills are something I really want to work on as I syrrufle with that department I’m really enjoying working towards being a better manager and a better person, I’ve not the confidence to deal with customer complaints and questions which is important
I very much enjoy the programme, it’s given me great knowledge and given me a goal and something to work towards and something to aim for, I’m very excited about my future now as part of this programme, I feel like I’m learning at my own pace which is good because I hate feeling rushed I can go and come as I please. It really really really is a good course to do.
I would say it’s very organised and structured, you’re given work and given plenty of time to plan ahead how you’re going to work it out and what needs to be doing, the deadlines are good and realistic as it can be harder if you get deadlines which are very very unrealistic. This is a great course. I’m really really really happy with the whole thing and it’s very organised
Yes a lot. Yes a lot, it’s really good from my employer they set out certain days I can have where I can plan into my day anything work I need to do aswell as always offering help and support into getting this grade, I’m happy so far with the support and effort I’ve had from all my team members and people within Iceland it’s really really good the support thanks
Yes we’re in close contact at all times to make sure I’m happy and now what I’m doing, there very very easy to contact and get hold of so that if I have any sort of questions they are more than willing to take the time to really go through what I need with loads and loads of detail which is really good because I can struggle at times but the help is good.
Yes it has very much opened my eyes into what I need to do to be very good in my job role it’s exciting and could be something I can work towards and be really good at, I’m really struggling for words of how good this all is, I’m very excited about my future and how good it will be with all the help and support I have got off my training pricie
