Day to day responsibilities include delegating tasks to a small team, as well as dealing with customer problems and queries. Duties also extend to refilling shelves and freezers and provided excellent customer service.
Since beginning the program I have learned a lot so far about things we as retailers do that might affect our customers and business. I feel I am much more aware of things we generally do naturally such as body language, communication tones. I have also learned new things such as culture of a business, customer journies and emotive retailing (wants needs desires).
The level 2 retailer program is teaching me a great variety of things I would never have thought goes into a retailing environment and as such am enjoying the program greatly. I look forward to being able to put learnings into practice.
Very well structured, tasks and learnings are placed out and easy to understand and follow.
Should I require it, I am confident I have the full support of both my management team and Iceland as a whole.
Any questions and queries I have had, my training provider has been able to assist me with little to no problems.
Things I am learning during my program are things I do naturally in a day to day setting and give no thought to. The program has opened my mind to a more in depth look at these behaviours and actions. I believe refining existing skills along with the knowledge gained will benifit my role greatly.
None that I am currently aware of.
