I am a supervisor and I assist in running the store from day to day whether it is stock management, online orders, or checkouts. I work closely with my team to keep the store on track.
I have learnt new methods of adjusting stock levels within our systems and new ways of delivering orders to customers via our picking system.
I have recently begun but it has shown that there are a lot of different ways to manage a team and a number of areas I can improve on.
the structure is very good and I have a clear path to completion and know what Is needed to pass.
I receive plenty of support and if I need to come in late or leave early my employer has been understanding and assisted in this.
my instructor has been very helpful in explaining what I will need to do and what kind of questions I will face and need to answer when it comes to my exams.
it has allowed me to understand my role in a different way and will help me improve on my work going forward. I'm learning about motivations and work styles which will help improve both myself and my team.
no there is not we are mostly focused on the work but we do communicate with each other. there are ordinarily days out but with the current pandemic that is not possible.
Yes
based on past experience with other stores Iceland is much better to run and is far more enjoyable to be a part of.
be willing to work hard and be good with the team as it will be vital to settling in with the store.
