Currently it is the foundation year so it is introducing us to the basics so that we are able to build on this knowledge for the coming years. we have both practical and theory work, with assignments.
I have learnt loads of new skills and been able to apply them in the workshop. A lot of the theory work is such as maths and science is GCSE level so its not necessarily challenging, however it is good to have a refresher.
I really enjoy it!!
Certain aspects are incredibly well structured, however a certain teacher is extremely underprepared and is struggling to get to grips with the program. It has been difficult with covid interruptions but overall it is decent.
As it is only foundation year, Leonardo haven't really been in touch all that often, but the apprenticeship manager would definitely respond to any emails promptly when we do need to contact him.
From certain teachers, the support is excellent, however the struggling teacher is unable to provide the support we need.
I would strongly agree, i've been able to master tasks that would otherwise have been impossible to me.
There is in the main employer, however these are suspended due to Covid-19. There is not anything with the training provider.
Yes
The pension and benefit schemes are excellent, as well as the people and training. I would only recommend it if aerospace is something you're passionate about.
Show enthusiasm about the role and your show off your personality. Do research into the company and the program you wish to undertake and show off any extra curricular activities with passion.
