I work within our Double Gold IiP winning People Team where I lead the development and implementation of the approach to welfare and safeguarding for colleagues and learners, health and wellbeing, corporate social responsibility and equality and inclusion. I am an experienced and passionate trainer of both bespoke and ofqual registered Safeguarding and Mental Health First Aid qualifications, in partnership with Nuco training. As a Designated Safeguarding and Prevent Lead I am responsible for monitoring of all child and vulnerable adult protection issues across our provision, and taking actions to protect those at risk of harm.
I have been learning about the HR fiunction in readiness to become an HR Business Partner within my organisation
It is enjoyable - especially the putting my learning into practice in the workplace with support of my fatastic work colleagues. The learning materials can sometimes be a little bland.
The knowledge is well organised
I have a fantastically supportive employer.
I have calls with an assessor. These check my progress. I have an opportunity to ask questions if I need to but I feel more that this is checking i'm on track than it is about my professional development. To be fair to my assesor I am a motivated learner who is a self starter and have a great team to support my learning.
The knowledge provided has helped my understanding and has challenged me to think differently.
We have all been working from home since March. There has been alot of effort to support our mental wellbeing over this time through encoruaging us to take steps to look after ourselves.
