  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt many different skills within the apprenticeship I am in from the work I have completed but also from the other people in there. I have learnt a lot about safeguarding and how children and adults should be covered and how they should get looked after. Also how to do next steps on children and how to work around what they need to learn. Furthermore, I have also worked around how to work more in a team and how to communicate with others.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I do enjoy my programme within my job. I have always wanted to do this qualification and I am so glad that I got the oppurnity to do it. I enjoy learning about different things which include childcare and how things work around it. This being how safeguarding works and how different religions celebrate different types and how childcare settings do get involved with this to make sure all the children feel valued and respected with their religions.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • It is very well organised and structured. My tutor is very well with keeping all my work and makes sure it is always marked and there is something always for me to do to complete my apprenticeship in the correct way and correct time. Also is very good with setting up calls where we can discuss progression and how my apprentice is going. Furthermore, she is very supporting where it comes to outside of work base and if need someone to talk to

  • I think my qualification works very well when it comes to working through my training provider. She allows me to explore different ways in my role and also makes sure I can do the best I can do. She encourages me to do more observations and next steps in the setting and to make sure I keep learning in this role which is good. Also she makes sure everything is fine throughout the weeks so I can preform my best in my job

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There is no social extra curricular in the work I am in. We work 5 days a week within the setting making sure the children are well and learning different developments they need to make sure they reach their milestones for their right age. Furthermore, there are courses on the side which I can get involved with which could help within my course. This could include safeguarding courses and also food hygiene courses too. Also have other courses too

  • 9a. Would you recommend Paragon Skills to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • They are very well when it comes to learning and carrying on working with their apprenticeship. They make you feel valued and respected and make sure you work at the your own pace and make sure you don’t feel pressuerd but also makes sure that you are keeping on top of your work but doing to your best ability. Which I think my tutor always makes me believe that I can do it and do such well in my work but also in the work placement

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Paragon Skills?
  • I would always say apply with them because they will get you through your apprenticeship and never give up on you. They will allow you to reach your own ability at your own pace, but also make sure you get all the work done to reach the end of your apprentice and make sure you get the qualification you want to get. Furthermore, if you need more support with your work they always tell you that they are a call away
