My role as a lvl craft apprentice is to learn the roles and responsibility and to develop my skills as a transmissions fitter. My day to day basis involves myself helping or completing jobs and tasks in the workplace such as building, testing and stripping gearboxes.
During my time in my apprenticeship I have greatly increased my skills in an aeronautical engineering environment. I have also developed other skills and traits such as my confidence and my team working skills.
I look forward to going to work every day as I not only enjoy the work but I enjoy the people I am working with. I also feel satisfied with what I complete during the day.
My programme is well structured as during my apprenticeship I have many different placement in which I move between. This greatly develops various skills as each placement offers different roles and responsibility where different skills need to be used.
I receive all the support I need as I get one to one meetings where my employer discusses my development throughout my apprenticeship and answers any questions I want to ask.
My training provider supports me enough so that I can achieve my qualifications. This is completed through meetings and discussions and if I am struggling with anything towards my qualifications my training provider will do what he can to help me.
I feel that some of my qualifications I am working towards do not help me perform better in my role.
My work has many extra-curricular activities such as AWASA which is charity team which organises social/charity events in which apprentices can get involved with.
Yes
Because I enjoy working at Leonardos and I do activity’s and jobs in which I am interested in.
I think that should show your passion for company and that you are motivated and eager to learn new skills in an aeronautical engineering environment.
