Second chef, assisting the head chef, running the kitchen in his absence. Food production and service, paperwork, ordering
In terms of budgeting, rota's, stock control, and legislation yes
I enjoyed the flexibility and the fact that support was available.
Pretty good, though due to covid I ended up changed tutor and some work/paperwork was not completed, however it was quickly rectified.
There was no problem with me doing exams and meetings with tutors on company time.
I was mainly left to my own devices as the online course takes you through step by step. My tutor was only a text or call away.
To be honest not a lot in my current role. As head chef I would see some benefits

Progression seems limited, hard work, limited support at times. Covid has an impact on this though recently though
A lot depends on your line manager and home manager. If they are competent and fair, it's a good company to work for.
