  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role was making sure the children was safe and secure in the environment on the day to day basis and have a good u understanding of the EYFS by the end of the apprenticeship to do observations on the children to let there parents know how there getting on. Also have got partnership with parents and children and the staff working with me in the building and my room.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt many skills while doing my apprenticeship program. The main skill I have learnt is my communication skills because I was quite nervous before with meeting new people but now I love meeting new people and am happy to build relationships with children, staff and the parents and will happily answer any questions I can to the best of my ability.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoy my program because my tutor is always there to help and talk to me if I need help with something that has been set. She is really nice and usually replies really quickly and will try to help go the best of her ability.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The program is well organised because during the apprenticeship I learnt everything that I felt I needed to know but it wasn’t rushed either so I had time to learn it all but dosnt take forever

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive a good amount of support from my employer and they will also help me with course work if I need the help and i cant get hold of my tutor.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I revive massive load of support from my training provider for so much stuff during the apprenticeship. The provider has been really good in supporting me in any way they can.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • It helps me perform better in my role because what I learn from my apprenticeship I can take back to my role. For example observations I could go back to my role and learn to use that and write my own observations and put the EYFS detail in my observations that was learnt from the training provider.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • We have done some social events at our work that was not so professional but we could all learn more about each other and be friends .

  • 9a. Would you recommend Sunninghill Play Centre to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • They are so supportive and will try and help you at all times. The provider always tries to get the best out of you even if you feel like you can’t do something yourself they will make you feel more comfortable and confident in yourself. I would really recommend paragon skills they are soo soo good.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Sunninghill Play Centre?
  • My biggest piece of advice would be just do it. You won’t think about turning back and the support you get will be amazing.
