My role is to looks after elderly people who has dementia and to make sure that their needs are met in every area, e.g. given food and drinks throughout the day, toileting needs, personal care and fulfilling lives.
Developed existing skills and got an overall better picture of how care works.
I enjoyed learning about the different aspects of care very much.
Very well organised although the website takes a bit of getting used to.
A fair amount considering their workload.
A good level of support at all times.
A much better knowledge of what needs to be done and why.
Some social activities but due to lockdown, we can not meet up at the moment.

I enjoy working for Care uk. Maybe it’s the particular home that I work in but the management and staff are mosty very approachable and friendly and there is a sense of fun which also rubs off on the residents.
Work hard, work within your team and always question something if unsure.
