I am really enjoying completing the NVQ level 3 in Teaching Assistant and the Diploma. I've learnt lots of valuable skills and knowledge. My tutor has also been fantastic and really helpful.
It's very well organised. I have a meeting at least once a month with my NVQ assessor, either in person, or virtually. There have been lots of virtual meetings due to the pandemic, but this has been fine. I also receive support from my employer by allowing me time to have my meetings during work hours.
I don't receive a huge amount of support from my employer, however they do have a really attitude towards my studying, and if it comes up in conversation, I am asked how I am getting on. My line manager is always willing to help by writing statements on my behalf for me.
I can't fault the training provider, they have been excellent in always offering support. They send out lots of free well-being programmes that I can join if I want too, my nvq assessor is always checking up on me, and I do feel that they actually care.
Loads better! I have gained so much knowledge since starting my qualification training. My knowledge of all the legislation has tripled, if not more! I also feel I have a better of understanding of children's mental health and all their needs in general.
At the moment, due to the pandemic, these sorts of activities are off the table, but I can't think of any extra curricular activities that were available for support staff before the pandemic either to be honest. Most things are set up in each department, and support staff tend to miss out.

Let Me Play Ltd have been a fantastic training provider to earn my qualification through, and I am working towards completing a Level 5, once I've finished my Level 3 (very nearly). I would recommend this company to anyone and hope that you get your assessor, as she's fantastic!
Ensure that you are prepared to put lots of work in to your qualification, as it is hard work, and lots of home study. Ensure you buy the books that they recommend, as they are invaluable.
