I manage the schools day to day finances, i.e. invoices, orders, quires, HR i.e. absence and pay variance, leasing with agency to arrange supply teacher/staff. using information systems such as HCSS, Integris, TimeMoto, Parent Mail, EPM Portal, DBS Portal etc...
I have developed better understanding of school finances and funding available. I am aware of tools available such as benchmarking and purchasing via the framework to aid schools with budget planning and procurement.
The programme is designed and structured around my work. My tutor is very encouraging and supportive. I look forward to completing my assignments.
Very well organised. The modules are all interlinked
I have been assigned 1 day a week to focus on my course. My employer is very encouraging.
I receive one to one support, we have monthly meetings, and if in-between I require help the tutor is always available to support me.
I have only completed 50% of my course and it has already given me confidence, as I have better understanding of the finance and HR.
We have end of year and Christmas parties. I was given the opportunity to attend the schools business managers conference.
Yes
Very encouraging and motivating, designed around my workload, so that I don't get stressed. I feel good that I am learning and improving my skills.
Go for it.... do not second guess yourself. Tutors are there to help you learn and improve your skills. Not to judge you. they are very very friendly and approachable.
