I am responsible for the quality of teaching and learning in LMP's Alternative Education department. I carry out observations and internally verify learner assignments. I also liaise with awarding bodies and research potential new qualifications for us to deliver.
Through studying my Team Leader Supervisor qualification, I have learned about different management and leadership theories and been able to apply them to my day to day role as a team leader. The apprenticeship has made me reflect on my communication skills and style of management and encouraged me to implement different styles of management which suit different situations and employees.
Very much. It was nice to study and work at the same time and to implement theoretical knowledge in a practical way almost immediately.
The programme uses Smart Assessor which helps me to track progress and organize the next task I need to to.
I receive lots of support, guidance and advice.
My tutor responds to emails and questions very quickly and phones me when things cannot be explained in an email. Feedback is also very prompt and detailed.
My qualification is encouraging me to reflect on my own practice and to implement new ideas. I think it focuses on areas I wish to improve and definitely helps me to perform better in my role.
Yes, we have online staff socials and afternoon tea.
Yes
I think the company is not afraid to try new things and give new members of staff the chance to develop new skills and challenge themselves.
