I have only just started my degree apprenticeship but I have already learnt new skills in my workshops.
I am definitely finding it challenging but I am enjoying learning new skills, which is why I wanted to do the degree in the first place.
The programme is very well structured. With everything being virtual at the moment there have been a few initial teething problems with technology but other than that it's been great.
My employer is supporting me in doing the apprenticeship and is providing me with the work experience and time off required.
There are opportunities to attend drop in classes with your tutor if you have questions or are stuck on something. You also have support from a skills coach.
I have worked in information security for 6 years but at governance / management level. This qualification will help me deepen my technical knowledge or information security, which will of course mean I become more advanced in my role.
Pre-Covid there were a number of social activities / clubs to get involved with. Since Covid we have made sure to do some virtual activities as a team but it has become more difficult.

I can not speak highly enough of my time at RSA. There are lots of opportunities once you join and the company is interested in developing skills and careers of it's people. I have also received a lot of support since joining and have a great work - life balance.
