Managing a series of packages throughout the Job, overtime you may be located to a block or a number of plots which is it your job to assess quality, health and safety, progress and handover deadlines.
Multiple. Communication skills, dealing with various different ages and titles of people. Technical Knowledge
I whole heartly enjoy my work everyday. However, i am currently in the process of completing my last year for my HNC, which has been a difficult balance, along with the NVQ. Many dates and deadlines to manage every week.
My work place programme is very organised and progress is monitored regulary and farily. My HNC at Oaklands College is fairly organised, it really is about diciplining yourself to ensure the work is complete. My NVQ has been managed by Together Training who has been very poor, unorganised and rather demanding. I may not hear from them for a number of months at a time, and then demands multiple answers and documents.
Support with ENGIE is fantastic. I went through a series of life changing events during my first years through the programme, they were always understanding and fair to my situation which made that period of time a lot easier.
Oaklands College are always there if you need support, the teachers are paitent and understanding. Together Training has provided no support whatsoever, demanding and unfair.
The HNC has been helpful with my role is very little areas, I would not recommend doing this qualification if you are not working in a site managemet role as a lot of the knowledge is irrelevent.
Yes, with the absence of COVID, there are various events throughout the year, as well as charity sports days etc.
Yes
My experience has been amazing and I am forever grateful for all of the oppertunities i have recieved, the people are kind and caring, the programmes for trainees are fair and reliable, you are bound to progress through this course.
Be honest and open with any situation you are struggling with, as the help from the people you are around is fantastic. I suffered alone and built a huge mountain of problems for myself, wanting to deal with it by myself, as soon as i informed ENGIE what was occuring, they made my life easier at work without the absence of me falling behind in anyway, which was what i was afraid of.
