I am an apprentice process operator at storengy, a gas storage facility in northwich. my day to day role at the moment is to work with the technicians/maintenance team to help with any maintenance activities. my job role will start moving towards being an operator which is to control the gas plant and also work in the permit office issuing permits for work.
yes, everyday i feel as though im learning something new.
i love my job and the programmed I'm on. i attended TTE for 9 months studying the theory side and basic skills of being a process operator. now im on site and love coming to work and learning new skills and gaining more knowledge.
its been pretty structured so far, i do feel as though id like to have slightly more structure in my programme.
i receive support when its needed and do not feel as though i cant ask for any.
due to current circumstance training has been done online and its been much harder to get support with.
i notice more and more that what ive learnt in the training college i can use to put towards my day to day knowledge and i notice that ive learnt certain things when out on the palnt.
not that im aware of.
