My role is an apprentice account handler in the Marine Hull team, my day to day activities include creating and sending endorsements [MRCE's] down the electronic broking platform PPL. Other jobs include preparing slips for upcoming renewals and reaching out to the client and underwriters for terms.
Since joining the company in September I've learnt so many skills including proper language to use in emails, how to speak with clients, how to use the various systems we use. Everyday I learn something.
I enjoy it a lot.
It is a very structured, with a clear plan for your 3 years
A lot of support. Contact with my line manager is Daily and he provides a lot of support and guidance.
We have lessons once a week for a scheduled period of time with guidance from tutors outside of lessons whenever needed.
As my qualification is very closely interlinked with my job role it helps with on the job knowledge in turn helping me perform better.
I was signed up to a Football team with a lot of the other apprentices and slightly older colleagues which was unfortunately postponed due to covid.
