On a day to day basis at Willis Towers Watson, I will attend team meetings about upcoming business and accounts we are working on. I will send and respond emails to clients as well as send documents to the team we work closely with in Mumbai. I will check contracts in preparation for renewal, as well as in my "free time", I will study for the upcoming CII examination.
I have learnt many new skills since joining, such as the way in which day to day business works. I have enjoyed meeting new people and having new experiences, and I believe I have built on my confidence in working with clients in particular. I have built a basic knowledge of insurance, and am keen to build on this.
I enjoy the programme to some extent, I do believe there are some factors that could be improved. The communication between the growth company and I could be better, but that could be due to working from home. I have found a lack of response to some of my emails when support was needed, and I feel as though I would like more information on the upcoming CII exams. Overall, I enjoy the programme.
My programme is well organised, however I would like more information of what's to come, such as the CII exams for example, I would like to be informed of the whole schedule for these. As I am someone who likes to plan ahead, it would be beneficial to be informed of the whole structure of the programme rather than be told only what the plan is when we come to do it.
I feel a great amount of support from my employer has been received, and I feel this would have been even more so, had we not been working from home. Despite the unprecedented times, I know there are always people to talk to and Willis have been very welcoming and supportive since starting.
I feel a lack of support in this area, and I would like to receive more encouragement and support with the upcoming exams we have. I have had a positive experience with some tutors, who have been excellent, whereas others I felt could have been more supportive and helpful at times.
I feel my qualification suits my role perfectly, as it provides me with so much more knowledge to my day to day work at Willis. I feel without the studying I would have learnt a lot slower.
Yes there are, although I haven't had an experience with this yet due to the current circumstance. I have heard about them.
Yes
Overall, the company provides you with lots of support and help to ensure you're feeling happy with what you are doing. I know there are lots of people I am able to go to if needed.
My advice would be to be confident, friendly and honest, as the company will do what's best for you and want you to be yourself. Confidence is importance within the world of business, as it is a very different experience from school. Kindness will be appreciated and honesty will better your experience.
