I work as part of the ATP team and listen in on calls that the Project Managers run with the Team. I'm currently completing a PMO type role and conducting project health checks which makes sure the correct governance process is being followed and the right documents are present. I also update the projects milestones weekly and update the monthly finances.
I am learning new things everyday within my role, and I'm able to see real life examples in my organisation that relates to the learning I'm completing for my PMQ.
I thoroughly enjoy my programme and have still learnt so much about project management despite working from home as a result of the pandemic.
My programme is well structured, I work 4 days a week and have one day dedicated to my learning.
I have a very helpful team who provide lots of support and knowledge to me when I need it.
I have a monthly one on one session with my education provider where we go over my progress. I also have a weekly PMQ power pour session to go over some revision. I had to learn all the knowledge myself through watching videos for my 3 hour PMQ exam. I will then be creating a portfolio followed by a formal interview/presentation.
My qualification has helped me widen my knowledge about project management which widely helps me in my role to understand the different processes we need to follow.
There is multiple teams networks we can join, however due to currently being at home there's limited social activities.
