I help everyone in the team with their accounts which could include, creating quotes, sending off quotes, creating firm orders etc and using all of their systems.
I have gained some confidence. Although it is hard to get to know everyone virtually. I have also learnt some new computer skills and I now have a greater knowledge in the insurance industry.
I am enjoying this programme as it has enabled me to gain a qualification while also working at one of the biggest insurance company. However, it is hard to learn everything and certain parts as it is all virtual and sometimes it is hard to understand.
For my LM1 exam we had a teacher that went through all of the chapters and practice papers within the time frame of our exam. However, I was disappointed when it got to our second exam as our teacher ran out of time to teach us 2 chapters and failed to go through some practice questions with us. (Growth company). I have also found it hard to get a response when reaching out to them.
My line manager supports me a lot as he will give me days to study if I need it and he will always put time a side for me to help me if needed.
They will provide us with lessons to help us with our qualification. However, I think there could be some improvements with communication and how they structure theri time and lessons.
The qualification context links with certain aspects of my job. For example, processing a quote and contracts.
There are lots of groups you can get involved with e.g. LGBT+. I have joined the Young Professionals Group which enables me to network with other people within the organisation.
Yes
