8/10 With all things considered over the last year. Despite the pandemic, WTW have provided all resources necessary to work from home along with day to day support with the role. My role involves dealing with clients insurance renewals and providing cover which is a comprehensive yet cost efficient as possible.
I would definitely say that my online communication skills have improved such as writing informative emails to insurers and clients. As well as my task management and time management, my mentor encouraged me to have a list of tasks to work through to add some structure to the day despite the circumstances, as during the current time it is very easy to lose motivation and focus.
I think it would've been 9 or 10 had I been working in the office. However that wasn't possible, I have enjoyed learning about an industry I had no idea about prior to starting. It has been a challenge with the learning and compliance having been a home and having everything delivered virtually. However like I said the before, the support has been there from the start.
All things considered it has been quite well structured, WTW and The Growth Company work closely and arrange workshops well in advance. This helps to structure your day/week as you know what you have upcoming.
Support so far has been great, there is always someone to talk to if you are unsure about anything, work related or not.
The Growth Company have excellent tutors, whose delivery of virtual sessions has been faultless. They are with you every step of the way and are there to catch you if fall and fail an exam.
I have noticed that a few things the tutors mention in there sessions is slowly starting to appear in my day to day work. I'm noticing more terms and words than I was at the start.
Due to the pandemic this type of inclusion is very limited but WTW have been running online clubs and sports challenges to take part in which really does raise morale and spirit especially during lockdown.
Yes
It is a great place to develop key skills and character, as you deal with clients and colleagues on a daily basis. From day one everyone makes you feel part of the WTW family and welcomes you.
Communication is key, I spoke to someone from management about what they look for in a interview and the said they really look for the ability to communicate and adapt to different circumstances.
