My role is Engineering Linesperson Apprentice and I am currently in college learning mechanical and electrical theory amongst many other things relevant to my industry. I will also be attending the training school where I will be introduced to working on overhead lines. When not at college I will be at my local depot for on the job training.
Whilst I am early in my apprenticeship I feel I have already developed my understanding of mathematics, industry legislation and mechanical theory.
I enjoy the program and look forward to what the future holds.
I feel the programme is well organised and structured despite the current COVID-19 situation.
I am very well supported by my employer.
My training provider gives me plenty of support and is always available if I have any questions.
I feel that this gives me a better understanding of my environment and what will be required of me as part of my role.
