I am the service advisor for ford. Every day I answer phones to customers and companies wanting to book their vehicles in for service or repairs. If any vehicle requires more work then I ring the customer to get authorisation and ring customers when their vehicle is done. As well as bill any retail work and update the vhcs. I complete daily banking every day.
I have learnt new skills since working with motus commercials. I have exceeded my customer service skills from being first point of contact to customers, I have developed knowledge on vehicles which helps me progress daily at my job, I have also built knowledge on how the motor industry works
I enjoy working as I go along, I get to earn whilst earning as I get a qualification. I get lots of support from my peers, management and tutor. I have enjoyed doing the apprentaship work as its made me look into the business a bit more than I usually would and found out lots of interesting things
The programme is very well structured. When I first started I was given tasks and a showcase presentation to complete ready for my end point assessment, I was given plenty of time to complete this and my tutor was really good at helping me meet guidelines and get the presentation the best it could be.
I receive good support from my employer. They help me with anything that I need assistance with. They let me have time to complete any apprentaship work that I need to do and help me develop myself to the best I can be, They give me good feedback which has helped with my confidence.
I receive good support from the training provider. My tutor is always there when I need her to assist me with any of my work. She gives me examples of work which helps me a lot. Shew is always there to review my work when I ask her to and gives me advice.
I feel it helps me understand the business more as with my apprentaship I have to do lots work about how the company works. Its helped me to develop better customer service techniques and build confidence when talking to customers. It encourages me to work harder to get a good future in the company.
Yes, I have volunteered to be peoples champion for my region. this means I will get mental health first aid training and be someone who has a voice for the company and is there for anyone who has any issues. This is something that would normally be way out my comfort zone but having the opportunity and my colleagues support its helped me come out of that comfort zone.
Yes
I would most definitely recommend Motus commercials to a friend. They are such a supporting company. They are very rewarding and you definitely do get recognised if you do something well. There is lots of opportunities to help build yourself and your future, lots of pathways that you can go down.
I would recommend people finding exactly what their role involves as I didn't realise my role had so much responsibility. To remember if you are coming to work in the motor industry you need to have thick skin and a good personality as times can be hard but most of the time its a pleasure to come to work.
