Learning capabilities for an effective Project Manager.
I have developed my IT skills and use of Excel and Microsoft Project. I have also developed my networking skills and people skills
It is a lot to learn and new to anything I have done before. It has been great work experience and has developed me as a person.
It is very structured and well organised as there is an entire team that is dedicated to supporting the early careers.
BAE supports is employees very well in many aspects both professionally and personally.
University of Portsmouth have been reachable via email and video calls during Covid and that has helped with my studies
At the moment I would say my role is helping me to understand my studies more which is good but later down the line when I go more in depth with scheduling and reporting etc I imagine that my studies will assist my work
There aren’t any at the moment due to Covid but I believe that there are early careers events held throughout the year normally and also, apprentices are treated like a member of the team at work so are offered to take any business trips that would be necessary for their role
Yes
They look after their staff very well, there is a great opportunity for a work/like balance and the opportunities to move around the business and travel abroad are big.
In the application process be yourself, it’s not about showing off, just be honest and ask questions if you have them. Do some research about the sector you want to go into and what they’re working on currently - this is information you can find online and will show that you are actively taking an interest
