The apprenticeship has enabled me to develop an array of skills and knowledge areas that throughout the apprenticeship programme will enable me to become a qualified and competent project manager.
I really enjoy the programme as it offers the excellent blend of learning the theory at Uni, and then putting it into practice in the work place. The early careers team are brilliant at helping us throughout our journey and ensure we are on exciting, and engaging placements.
The programme is well structured so that there is a clear path through the apprenticeship programme.
I receive good support from my employer, more specifically the early careers team.
The University of Portsmouth give us good support in our lectures and assignments.
The Degree attained through the project management degree apprenticeship helps us to put the theory into practice. I feel that most modules do relate to the workplace.
Apprentices are encouraged to participate in "stretch" assignments to improve our professional development and get involved in activities away from our day-to-day work. Stretch assignments for example could be helping to run and open day.
