I manage 11 Credit Control handlers to ensure debt is collected to terms. I escalate cases when handlers cannot obtain funds from the brokers and manage key stakeholder relationships
I have learnt a lot more about negotiation skills and how to deal with people based on their personalities.
The learning is interesting but it's a big commitment when you still have to do your full time job alongside.
The programme is very well structured, i do find there is duplication of filling out off the job training and on the job training which is quite time consuming.
I receive support from my employer but you have to be mindful that things can change if the circumstances of the department change, i.e. people leave so you are required to do more work.
I receive a lot of support from my coaches
I definitely believe the apprenticeship has helped me in my role as when I started the course, i was new to my role and this has helped my influencing skills and given me knowledge of how other businesses tackle the same issues we face.
There were lots of social activities prior to Covid, we do have on-line quizzes.
