I am currently learning CAD, so I have tasks to complete on a day-to-day basis. I have constant interactions with my boss. I have two ongoing assignments from my college. I have a responsibility to clock in and out everyday and ensure my work gets completed to the best standard.
I have learnt about CAD and a small amount of BIT (Business Integrity Training). I am developing my people skills and have participated in several training courses and scenarios.
I am really enjoying it. It has exceeded my expectations and everyone I come into contact with is excellent. My group all help each other out in any way they can and the overall atmosphere of the company is always positive.
Induction was very well structured and we have received all the training necessary to complete our current work. There is always support if required and meetings can be arranged if you desire.
My manager always gives me support if I need it and everyone I have emailed has given me fast and helpful replies. Everyone makes it plain and simple that if you have a problem with anything, there is always someone available to help you.
Both of my tutors provide excellent advice and will always offer to help or chat with you, even after hours. There are endless helpful resources on the internet and the college's attitude towards supporting you is very apparent. I am really enjoying college.
I feel I definitely know more about my job role now that I am progressing through my qualification. What we learn definitely applies to our job, on a day-to-day basis.
There are several activities for you to get involved in. For instance, study groups, sports teams, Outward Bound, several volunteering and awareness initiatives, a gym and our group communicates regularly after hours.
Yes
It is an extremely rewarding company to work for and the support is endless. The work is engaging and you feel like you are really involved. Everybody is welcoming and they always encourage you to realise your potential.
Prepare for your application questions as early as possible, so you have lots to time to edit and streamline your answers. The people who run the interviews are lovely, so do not feel as though you have to rush into answers. You can take a minute and think about your responses. Make a note of every bit of information they give you, as it may be necessary later on.
