  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I think the programme is structured very well however due to coronavirus it kind of like throwing a spanner right in the works, the company has had to find new ways to teach the apprentices along with keeping everyone safe. I personally think Bae have done this extremely well.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I dont really understand what is meant by training provider, however if its about the instructors then i have plenty to say. when i first joined BAE i struggled with my confidence in doing the tool handling due to the fact i have never done it before. the instructors really helped me with this by showing me what to do and how to do it as many times as i needed.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Having the qualification will give you a better idea of what you need to do and the training provider will know what you actually need to know. like i said in previous answer i dont really know what a training provider is.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There has been currently an extra-curricular thing going on at the moment, mental-health webinars. They are extremely useful and help massively due to the fact being loaded with information, ways to deal with what ever is it that the webinar is about. Im not too sure about the sporting activities, however i do know there are gyms onsite but im not sure if they are open to employees.

  • 9a. Would you recommend BAE Systems to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • i would recommend to a friend as its amazing work what they do. I think the scheme for apprentices is truly incredible and anyone who gets a job at BAE would be lucky. BAE also have so much to offer like pension scheme, share scheme, etc. if your 16 going into this apprenticeship then you will be paying into your pension and possibly the share scheme if that's what you opt for.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BAE Systems?
  • I would probably say to someone applying, know what your talking about, be intrested in what BAE do and be yourself.
