First year is Btec foundation and learning how to produce high quality circuits or precision work but to also learn how to use cad and how to fault find.
Ive developed my soldering and fault finding skills but i have learnt how health and safety in the work place is vital but also how to read circuit diagrams and technical drawings. Also i have learnt how to do complex algebraic formulas.
During the pandemic and lock down, i wanted to go back and get to work.
Considering the 2020 pandemic and starting the year late it has been organised exceptionally well.
We have SEM support and guidance tobhelp with our learning but also a safeguarding officer who has been vital for helping us during the pandemic and tough times.
From all partys we get exceptional support and training plus there are opportunities to get after class support during tutorials sessions.
From the beginning to now i would say that my skills have improved to the point ibwouldnt of thought of and when performing my role it comes second nature.
During the 2020 pandemic and lockdowns we havent had the opportunity to do social activities except for our first week doing fencing, clay pigeon shooting and rock climbing.
