Approve payments worked by claims handler to check policy terms applied accurately. Referral point for technical queries for handlers and other departments ie finance, uw. Provide technical upskilling to department including coaching. Audit colleagues work. Recoveries of incoming payments from claims history. Admin of claim system.
I have learnt new skills and also developed existing skills. The main area of learning has been about the wider context of insurance markets and business strategies at higher management level.
I find it very interesting and relevant to my role.
The programme is clear and structured and follows set pattern for each exam/ piece of coursework required.
I am given flexibility to complete my apprenticeship around work responsibilities and raising a family.
Regular catch ups, set work on app and revision sessions also included.
Yes I have gained a wealth of knowledge about how companies are run and this helps me understand rsa commitments to customers and products. I feel the apprenticeship will help me progress to a more technical role within the company.
Yes I have been to a a few events such as CII dinner, and networking lunch for nominees of women doing great work in insurance.
