Testing materials throughout their manufacture & lifetime with the use of the following NDT techniques: Eddy current inspection Magnetic Particle inspection Fluorescent penetrant inspection Radiography Ultrasonic testing
So far, I have developed my radiography (film) and UT skills from only theoretical knowledge into actually testing materials in production
Really enjoy my programme, it's the perfect combination of practical and theoretical experience within a role!

Lots of academic support, through the use of tutorials, seminars and lectures Quite a lot is self study, however there are learning packages to assist our learning
The degree was tailor made to my apprenticeship, so it's near on perfect for what I need
Monthly meetings with the British Institute of NDT. With regard to sports/societies at the moment, no (only due to covid). However, I will be participating in these afterward

Quality provided throughout every aspect of the apprenticeship. Anything you may want/need is available. Apprentices are also treated with respect
