Assistant branch manager of a team of 10 colleagues, we sell and supply kitchens to trades people, developers and social housing.
The course taught me a lot about how to interact with colleagues more effectively, how to give and receive feedback. I learnt about a number of tools/methods which make processes more efficient and use them regularly with good results.
I found the whole process to be well structured and informative throughout. I felt that support was readily available to me from my apprenticeship coach and mentor. I enjoyed the group meetings in person at the start of the course more but found the webinar sessions rewarding also.
I felt that it was very well organised from start to finish. Both my mentor and coach provided constant welcome reminders of what needed to be done and when.
There was no resistance to me joining the course from my line manager. I had to ask for support but almost always colleagues from various areas within the business were happy to help.
I felt that everyone involved in the course was keen to help me succeed and complete my work to a good standard.
During my time on the course I have learnt about how better to interact with my immediate colleagues at branch level. Thanks to the course I have become a lot better at giving and receiving feedback. Also rather than making decisions on the spot straight away I am now more prone to step back and think about all of the solutions available.
Me and my team have always socialised together outside of work, recently that has been difficult but we find the time to interact outside of work when safe to do so.

Benchmarx has a real team feeling for me and I believe in the companies vision. There are plenty of opportunities for progression and or learning within Benchmarx, and the TP group as a whole. I feel safe working for a large company that seems to make the right commercial decisions regularly.
As with any new job I would suggest joining with an open mind, the workforce is diverse and everyone has their own interpretation of what looks great. Taking the time to learn and perfect the basics will pay off massively in the long run. Although colleagues receive consistent support and guidance from management it is vitally important that you are able to organise your own workload and be creative to get the job done.
