I am a team leader at the coop, which mean on a day to day I have the responsibility of running shifts, managing a team normally up to 5 people on shift. Handling cash, recently had smart cash installed, so training staff up on how to use this correctly. Working stock, stock rotation, date code app. Training new and existing staff up. Receiving deliveries. Recently inroling on CHORT 6 in leadership.
Recently involved in a degree apprenticeship in leadership where I am hoping to learn lots of new transferable skills that I can use in everyday life, with my team, to make myself a better leader and help other leaders self-aware.
Learning and gaining new opportunities. Networking with other colleagues from the company who I may not have got the opportunity to meet.
Very well structured especially with covid 19 going on too, they have really adapted. Well done everyone. Angela Ruskin University!!
So much and it helps when there are others on the programme to reach out to who have experienced it too.
Everything so far has been really great. Cannot fault the support.
I feel that it will really help me reach my end goals within the company and make me become a better leader.
At the minute with covid we are alittle restricted but I'm sure when its lifted there will be activities in place that can help support. However there are team events that we are currently doing in our area that can help on leadership- leads fest and another leadership programme, so I am going to rate this experience 10 still.

Because they really look after you. they are all about the community. the ethics they stand for. They are one of the few company's that tackle what matters. I am so proud to say I work for the Coop.
Research the history of the coop, read up of the founders. Be yourself, always! Don't be afraid to ask questions.
