Lead a team to achieve targets set by the store in order to achieve the overall business goals. Duties include being a key holder, cash handling and banking, availability tasks, taking in deliveries, replenishment and serving customers.
Yes, I have learnt a lot about communication, resilience, and handling difficult conversations. I have developed my customer service skills.
I do really enjoy the apprenticeship with Co-op, it can feel overwhelming at times when you have many tasks to complete in short time frames but the sense of achievement when you complete them is great and there's fantastic support.
It's OK, you don't know what you're doing until an email pings up, a structured plan of the programme would have been helpful
I do not receive as much support from my employer as I do from my tutor. Store managers aren't given any extra time to help their apprentices and my manager struggles to find time to fit me in, however, he hasn't not found the time I just worry I'm causing him stress and being a pain
I get most of my support from my tutor art Hart L&D. Quick responses and great feedback.
100% it helps me to perform better. I have learnt some great new skills I can apply to the workplace, and I have developed existing skills to make me even more efficient and confident to lead my team.
No. Most of those kind of things are aimed at store managers, there is very little for team leaders.
Yes
When you look at Co-op's history, who they are and what their aims and goals are, they're a fantastic business to work for and are very rewarding.
Go for it!
