I am currently at Customer Team member level and interact with our customers on a daily basis. Stocking the shelves, working on the tills and doing the food reductions each day. I also work with money and am training to be management level.
Yes I have learned a lot of new skills including what laws and legislations are involved in the retail business. As well as this there are new skills I have developed around my confidence in what I am doing and how I can make my store the best it can be.
I’m really enjoying how engaging it is considering we are in a pandemic. All our conferences are on teams. I like how we have virtual courses and work to complete but am able to always get in touch with my coach if I need a hand. I also like how I am learning on the job alongside at home learning.
At first it was quite confusing to use but as I am getting used to it, it’s a lot easier to know what I am doing. Normally some sessions would have been in person but due to the pandemic this has had to change to online. Given the circumstances, it has been set out well.
A lot of support. All of my management team are happy to help when I have any questions regarding my work and want the best for me.
A lot of support again, I can contact my coach whenever I need via email or telephone. We have a teams call regarding my work every 6-8 weeks.
I have gained so much knowledge and confidence in what I am doing with all the support I get. Knowing people think I’m doing a good job makes me feel like I will succeed. I also enjoy the learning conferences on team to gain more knowledge I can use whilst at work.
Not at the moment due to lockdown. We used to go out for a meal or night out once or twice a year to get together and relax a bit.
Yes
It’s a good company to work for and really focuses on working together for the community. It’s very engaging. You’re able to be the best you and be yourself.
Be yourself, always! Make sure you’re a team player and have the aim to make the place the best it can be.
