Team manager. Running of store in managers absence. Supporting manager with daily management task. Implementing new ways of working sent down from head office. Supporting colleagues in work and any personal issues I can help with. Helping grow customer happiness in the store.
I have learnt lots of new skills not just based on the co-op but in the broader world of management.
I enjoy it alot. Its helping me achieve what I've being trying to achieve for the past 8 years which is to have the knowledge to become a top store manager
It is a well structured programme. It gives you the right amount of work so your not overloaded. It ensures you can focus on it fully as well as doing your role in store.
I have received lots of support from my manager who is also doing an apprenticeship. Also my area manager has been amazing, he spends time with me going through what I need to know.
Steve has been really supportive. I've been through some depression issues and he's helped me by offering support and gave me information for support. He's always replying to my emails when I have an inquiries.
While doing my apprenticeship I have been made up to acting store manager in my store. The knowledge I have learnt so far has given me the confidence I've needed to step up and successfully help move the store forward during the busiest trading period of the year Christmas
At the co-op we try to get involved with local charities as much as possible and I try to help out at events when I can
Yes
I like how ethical the business is and how much we support local charities and causes.
Great company to work for and there is always the chance for progression.
