I am a supply chain apprentice which means i am involved in liaising with internal and external stakeholders such as suppliers, couriers, production, goods-in, amongst many others. I am in charge or placing orders for materials needed for production and run reports which track the progress of these orders within aspects such as on-time delivery and monitoring delayed orders. I also present this data to many different colleagues.
I have become much more comfortable in presenting ideas/data to other colleagues and be able to engage an audience when doing so. I am also developing my pre-existing business knowledge within my studies as an apprentice.
I very much enjoy the programme as it develops me as an individual which is something Siemens Healthineers are actively keen to see within their apprentices. I am driven and motivated to go outside of my comfort zone which is beneficial in making this personal development.
I have weekly meetings with all apprentices as a group where we can bring up any queries or problems and i also have a 1-1 discussion with my line manager weekly. this helps me to ensure i am on-track and can solve any questions quickly.
My qualification directly links to most of my day-to-day activities which helps in developing my understanding of the topics.
