For 9 months I am learning the labeller and working through the grading system, after that I will move onto the filler for 9 months and work through the filler grades.
My root cause analysis and fault finding/solving have definitely gotten better as well as being more comfortable using tools and operating machinery.
We are on a day release to college to complete the process operator qualification and its really good, it interesting and I've learned a lot from it. The college tutor is also very helpful and a good teacher.
It's structured really well and we are getting additional perks such as getting fork lift licenses and first aid training.
If there's anything (within reason) I need, whether it's time off work to complete college assignments or if its putting us in contact with someone within the business to help with an assignment.
He goes through the work and whats expected, from the get go he went through the whole course and how the end point assessments would be structured,so there would be no surprises.
It gives me a deeper understanding as to why we do things a certain why, whether its standard operation procedures or specific targets the company wants to achieve.
Thr company has built a gym onsite for the staff to use, as well as month prize draws on our social club.

I think its a fantastic opportunity to learn and develop the skill you'd need for a career in manufacturing.
