I am a healthcare support worker for the alcohol care team. I hold my own caseload of patients and offer support to these. I refer my patients to appropriate agencies when needed, seeking as much support as required. I input my notes electronically on relevant systems. I maintain confidentiality at all times.
I have learnt many new skills and taken part in different training. I complete all mandatory training as required. I work within a very supportive team who are happy to help me develop my knowledge and skills.
I am really enjoying it. My tutor has been fantastic and very knowledgeable. My work colleagues have also supported me on my learning journey.
It is very organized. I had a very thorough induction and plan set out. Initially we was in college and this was brilliant, unfortunately due to COVID lessons are now online, however my tutor has done brilliant at making these successful. I am always very clear on what is expected of me and what support is available.
I gain a lot of support from my manager and my work colleagues.
I feel very supported by my training provider. My tutor, has been fantastic throughout.
I am only early days into my apprenticeship, but I feel I am already benefiting in my job role with that I am learning.
Very restricted at the minute due to COVID
