My current role is based within the Systems Support team, working in the certificate department. This involves providing product certification to meet customer demands, ensuring release/supply into a market. This involves vast collaboration within QA from sites across the globe.
I have learnt about the QC systems that aid the labs, and added to my existing knowledge of systems that look after product/stock. I have learnt about AstraZeneca certification, and how market regulatory requirements work.
I highly enjoy my programme, and would recommend.
The programme is organised. The modules are available online, with all content unlocked. I did have issues unlocking further modules due to the delay from the exam board, but any problems were easily escalated and resolved.
My employer provided amazing support, and has an individual or team to reach out to for any issues who will work until a resolution or sufficient support has been provided.
The university offers webinar chats for upcoming modules. They have discussion forums for which you can leave questions, as well as reaching out to module leaders individually.
As I work in more of a quality function, it can sometimes be difficult to apply to my current role. However, I can see where areas of the company fit into the teaching delivered.
There are plenty of networking events delivered my AstraZeneca, ranging between apprenticeship committees and guest talks regularly.
Yes
AstraZeneca is professional company who delivers exceptional support to apprentices throughout, and provide a great opportunity to learn about the pharmaceutical industry.
Don't be apprehensive about the scale of the company and the pressure of the industry. Problems, mistakes and issues all provide a learning opportunity and even bring rewards if solved in the correct manner. There is always support, so no question is a bad question.
