To a great extent. Enjoyment of my placement thus far however, has been massively impacted by the global pandemic and lockdown restrictions, resulting in a 100% wfh placement. Nevertheless, the teams ability to still make such a role enjoyable, and make me feel included and part of them, is testament to their great personalities.
Very well structured with 20% OTJ hours for professional development and MSc Study.
Huge amount of support from my line manager and the wider team. I have weekly 1 hour direct support sessions with my LM to discuss my development and current performance.
Again the training qualification has been massively impacted by the global pandemic and lockdown restrictions and as a result has been all web based. As a result i feel support here has been affected somewhat, and the majority of the learning is self driven and directed.
From day 1 I was able to see direct applications of my learning into my job role and future responsibilities. As a result I feel my qualification massively helps me to preform better in my role.
There are many social and networking events run weekly bot during and after office hours. However with current restrictions there are no sporting activities, but these were present before hand and there is planning to bring these back ASAP.
Yes
The professional development and personal support you receive while on this programme is second to none and far surpassed my expectations. To be able to grow and develop all whilst receiving strong employee benefits and making long lasting friendships is what sets LBG apart from most other competitors.
Be true to yourself! Working at LBG is greatly centred around being open and honest and fitting in with the working environment and with your colleagues. No point lying about who you are to get the job, as you will regret it from day one. In terms of the application process, you should focus on being innovative, collaborative, and inclusive. Follow the above and you should be in a great position! :)
